Amazing Race - Debra, Steve and Fadi

Let's all thank Fadi for throwing $2 into the pool today. He joined in at the last hours before the first episode. I guess there was a reason nobody wanted the team -- they can't sprint. Of course, we should give them an A+ for effort. The results of this week have been posted.

Broken GPS... new GPS

Due to a series of errors, my Garmin etrex Venture fell out of the van window as I was backing up the van at Carter Bay (Manitoulin Island) and was subsequently run over by the front left tire. The combination of dust and the tires left perfect track marks on the unit. The LCD display broke (face down + gravel = crack). Luckily, Uncle Rob sent us a surplus unit (etrex Legend) for use. It arrived today in the mail.

Chris was very happy it arrived but complained "oh man, now it's going to have coordinates from Calgary." Five-year olds say the funniest things. I wonder how many times he has heard the word coordinates in our family.

Amazing Race Pool - starting lineup

The roster for the pool is full, thanks to those in the Mountain timezone. The starting lineup is here. The Race starts tonight on CBS/CTV at 8pm EDT (some other time in MDT).
